History of the association


The association "YPGO" (Youth Parliament of Gorna Oriahovitsa) was founded on 07.04.2004 in the town of Gorna Oriahovitsa. It was created, because of the necessity to unite our energy, in order to achieve turning a good idea into reality. We are ambitious young people with different interests. The reason which gather us is the wish to turn our dreams in action. Our town ought to become beautiful with perspectives for young people. We want listen to the outcry of the children and to offer enough work for everybody. Our motto is -"Bad ideas don't exist". If they are practical and helpful, we are ready to work with you for their realization.




 

And again who are we?

We are 22 enthusiasts - young people from Gorna Oriahovitsa, convinced that our town can be prettier, grower and become a centre of attraction for other young people. We believe that emigration to foreign countries is not a solution of the problem. It can be work out, when we unite ourselves, get down to work with the only aim to live in normal conditions. This will be reached by noone else except us - the inhabitants of the town. Subjekt of the activity of our association is the alliance of young people sharing the same views, ready to work for our town.

 

GOALS

-Support of the personal development and progress of the young people as free people in a democratic society by including them in educational activities.
-Support of the socialization and adaptation of young people in unequal situations towards the working market, integration of young people from minority descent in the Bulgarian society.
-Unification of the young people tо the achievements of the modern world, supporting their participation in international programmes and initiatives. Stimulation of free exchanging of ideas and information, intellectual values and co-operation.
-Adaptation of the positive European and world wide experience in education and youth work and encouragement with integrative processes in this direction.

 

MISSION AND PRINCIPLE

 

Creation, preparation and confirmation of the staff and realization of our goals.
Educational purpose- introduction of new programs and new models of attitude between humans. Partner and combined activities with the local authorities and other organizations and institutions with an attitude towards young people.
Informational insurance of the schools, referring to the possibilities of the learning youth, and also for the unemployed youth. Stimulation of - a wide participation in the local society in developing of educating and working with youths.

In its action the association is led by the following principles:
- democratism;
- volunteering of the participation and freedom of choice;
- consideration interests of the all young people and giving everybody possibilities of participation in programmes, regardless of ethnical and social background. Equality of the genders;
- purpose for the personal development of the young people;
- equality and openness;
- creative work and experimentation;
- stimulation of initiative and active participation;
- religious and political non-commitment.
